About this event

Warren Station and Cutthroat Anglers are excited to present a new addition to the Distilled Spirits & Speakers Series: Whiskey on the Fly.

Learn how to tie your own fishing fly, while also getting to sample (3) whiskeys from the TINCUP American Whiskey portfolio. The guides from Cutthroat will provide all the supplies and show everyone how to tie a basic fly, while also including a tale or two from Colorado’s amazing fishing history. Channing Dial from TINCUP will be here to share the story of TINCUP Distillery and its amazing product line. TINCUP has three distinct whiskeys, the American Whiskey, 10 year, and TINCUP Rye. Get ready to try them all.

We will provide complimentary pretzels with cheese along with plenty of fishing-specific swag and select raffle prizes up for grabs, including a TINCUP Fly Fishing Rod.

A fly tie kit, snacks, (3) whiskey samples, and (1) raffle ticket are included with each entry.

*Must be 21 years of age or older to attend.*

Spirits to be sampled: TINCUP, TINCUP 10, TINCUP® Rye

TINCUP is a blend of two great American whiskeys, each aged in #3 charred oak barrels. “High rye” bourbon, distilled and aged in Indiana, this whiskey is blended with a small amount of Colorado single malt whiskey. Next, these whiskeys are cut with Rocky Mountain water. TINCUP Whiskey is named for the Colorado mining pioneers and the tin cups from which they drank their whiskey.

TINCUP 10 only a few climb the mountain. Fewer still have the will to stay. Introducing TINCUP® 10, a newly released expression that marries the bold, pure, untamed flavor of TINCUP® with a full decade of oak barrel aging.

TINCUP® Rye has been crafted to celebrate the original rye recipes enjoyed by settlers and miners of Tin Cup, Colorado, with a taste that matches the bold spice and spirit of the Old West.

Cutthroat Anglers is the premier fly-fishing shop and guide service in the state.

Based in Silverthorne, Colorado, our shop has been a staple in Summit County for more than two decades. When legendary angler Trapper Rudd first opened our doors on the banks of the Blue River in 1999, fly fishing enthusiasts and guides gathered from across the state to what they called “The Clubhouse.” They frequently gathered around the wooden table in the back of our shop — wet waders and all — to swap fishing secrets, stories and (undoubtedly) a tall tale or two.

While that legacy remains true today, we are now proud to be a place where beginners can congregate just as confidently as the seasoned pros. Even if you have never held a fly rod in your life, we invite you to come visit us and learn more as you browse the finest fly-fishing gear you can find in the state of Colorado
